The envisioning of an underutilized site along the prominent 118 Ave commercial corridor into a vibrant, interactive mixed-use building.

 

A hub of art, culture, and community, the development would feature artist maker space and retail pop-up shops, a black-box theater, a school of music, The Carrot, as well as levels of residential apartment units.

 

Connecting with the public park to the west of the site, the building features a second storey exterior patio, offering a visual and physical connection to life on the ground level.

 

Additionally, laneway activation is to be promoted via public artworks and intermittent events.

To create an integrated, vibrant, and welcoming hub where artists and patrons can gather, create, and perform while creating positive change on 118th that continues the community-building work of Arts on the Ave.
